Peyote Stitch Completed

I thought I would share some of the work I've done in the peyote stitch. I have become addicted to this. It's relaxing (as long as there are no tangles in the thread I'm using and I can get the needle threaded). I can conveniently do this while I watch my kids play outside or TV.

The first picture I did using Czech glass seed beads, size 11. I had read that they are not as consistent in size or shape. This is quite true. But I had to give it a try and see how it would look anyway. Not too bad.

This second picture is a piece I made for my daughter. She loves Zebra print on everything. When she wears it, it really does look like Zebra print ~ really! I used Delicas size 11. These truly are consistent in size and shape. They hold better when I am stitching too. I would recommend using Delicas or Tohos when first learning this stitch.

Now, one of my other daughters wants one just like it....

So, how do you think I did? Let me know. Be honest too!
