December Bead Journal Done

Whew! I never thought I would get it done in time. I had a goal set to be done with this before Christmas, so that I could enjoy looking at it for a bit before putting it safely away with the rest until it was time for the final project. I did it! Well, almost, I still have to attach the backing, but I am still able to put the picture where we can all look at it.

This months project was preplanned to be something fun and happy for me. One of my favorite Holidays of the year. The Christmas Spirit hits me later as the years go on, but it's there none the less.

I used Grandma's sequins again, from the misc. bag, for the sky. I couldn't find just the right color I liked until I looked there. The colored gems around the top, my favorite color combo for the season, they looked a little like presents one moment, then shiny hard candies my Grandma used to buy for us the next. I miss that. The clear beading done on the bottom represents all the pretty white snow we have (more than usual for this time of year, but we'll have a white Christmas which I love) and the Penguin buttons I found a couple of months ago ~ penguins are my favorite! Plus, there are five of us and there were five penguin buttons, so there you are..... I still have my "crazy circles" in here, becoming a theme for me, but, the craziness that started the month off, is now gone! Yippeee! We'll have to see what January brings....

Enjoy! And may you all have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season!!!

Love how the penguins look to be skating around in front of the tree. Gramma's bag of goodies seem to be coming in handy. So nice to have - Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Oh! This one makes me feel so happy! It's got a child-like wonder to it that's totally precious. And your Grandmother's sequins give it an "old world" Christmas flavor. Love it!!!!

Thank you everyone!
Christmas should be a happy time, I think, even with all the stress that comes with it. For a little while I am able to put my stress aside, which is wonderful!
