November BJP shows the busy chaotic time of year it is for me, with a bit of organization too. I used my favorite Fall color combo of purple, green and gold (root beer). I wanted to use sequins in some of my BJP to get the feel for stitching them on. I remembered I had a bag of misc beads and sequins from Grandma's Beads that were loose or were just very small strands. I checked it and found matches for all my colors. So, I used them. Really, what good are they all packed up? And I do feel I am using them in a proper way here.
Anyhow, there is a lot, I feel, going on for this month so I tried to give the feeling of that here with the different beads, sizes and textures I used. I left a lot of white space on purpose to signify the fact that with so much going on, some things will tend to fall through the cracks.
I am still trying to get ready for the Holiday season by getting the Christmas Wish lists in order and planning my purchases carefully. As I'm sure plenty of people are this year. I really need to track the money better than ever. So that's been weighing on my mind quite a bit. And I'll be busy, but I must be extra organized this year.
I have a Holiday Shop I am doing the first week of December and REALLY need to get going on product for that. As well as good displays. Again chaos but need to be really organized.
I am also babysitting more hours this month only to decrease them next month, so very little time to do other things I need to do (see above).
My husband and I went to an impromptu 25th High School Reunion Get Together which was fun! No notice to diet for this one! LOL! But, it was nice to see and get reacquainted with a few people I knew back in the day. Can't believe it's been so long.
I am lucky to not have to cook a big Thanksgiving meal but still get to spend time with family.
I'm also looking forward to shopping the day after Thanksgiving and getting some, hopefully, great deals! Let's hope I'm organized enough.
Well, I hope this project coveys the chaotic organization I wanted.
Looking forward to next months project! Wish I had time to even think about starting it.

As chaotic as you feel, this piece really comes off as truly organized. I was expecting something a little more off balanced. Kudos to you for a beautifully organized tribute to your family.
Kelly, your piece is 'alive' Very nicely done! Don't know how I missed your October post, but I liked it very much as well! Love the circles!
Kelly, I can see everything going in different directions, with lots of movement. It looks more like organized chaos to me. You seem to know what's happening. I like all the colors and movement. Yes, we are watching our pennies, too. It's so hard. Gramma's beads and sequins look real good - I think she'd like them like this.......
Goodness! You do sound busy! But your beaded page is beautiful. I like the way you used the sequins.

Thank you everyone! Organized Chaos does make more sense and was probably what I should have said. LOL See what I mean about things falling through the cracks? Need to proofread better. lol
wow, very cool ! You definitely have something going on with the circle theme, don't you? Have you checked Robin's past blogs to see the symbolism of circles?
I only wish I was as organized with chaos as you!
You project looks like organized chaos to me. I understand the pull from all different directions. The white parts where things fall through the cracks seems to happen so often. I almost missed my husbands birthday yesterday!!
At first I couldn't see the chaos in your piece... it looked quite symetrical, centered and organized to me. But after clicking to enlarge, I noticed the chaos in the details and the "falling through the cracks" part. As a whole, your piece seems to suggest that you may be more organized than you think... so relax and enjoy it all, knowing that under the chaos there is one very orderly and focused Kelly taking care of everything.
Hugs, Robin
I guess I can only be organized in my pieces. Crafting of any type tends to relax me the most out of anything I do. Plus, I'm a bit of a perfectionist in that area. Hard for me to make a piece look unorganized.
How about this, I'm wishing my life was as organized as my piece, and since it's not, I'm in chaos. LOL
I love your falling through the cracks idea. It's a wonderful piece and after all those sequins you should know whether you like to use them or not now.
Thanks!
I DO like to use them. They look nice and when used properly, can be a great space filler ~ LOL!
