Here is my October 2008 BJP page. "Running in Crazy Circles".
This represents my struggle to get everything done in a day. Both the things I HAVE to do and the things I WANT to do. A lot of the time I just have too much to do ~ usually that's self imposed. Sometimes everything gets done, sometimes nothing gets done. I tend to run in circles, or at least feel like I do, to make everyone happy. This makes me "crazy". October is also my birthday month, and being a Libra, I guess that's my thing ~ trying to balance.
I feel I should bead this same page for every month. But I'm hoping things will change and I can figure out a way to not have too much to do and be more organized/ scheduled to get everything done all the time. I'm hoping that happens soon. If not, look for a "crazy circle" in the coming months pages. I'll probably add one in if it's a "crazy" month.
I have to be honest. I started beading this in August, to practice before the BJP started. It was staring me in the face when I messed up my September page so I used it to bead through my problem. It was the end of September when I decided where it was taking me and I made it my October page. I did finish it in October though.
I thought about doing a Halloween themed page, but this is more appropriate for me now. I love the pages submitted so far but couldn't change my page. I think, since there is still time left before Halloween, I'll do a project and add it to my decorations. Well, as soon as I get my other things done I need to do.....
Hope you enjoy!

This is a perfect page for you. Sometimes Halloween is not the most important thing that happens in our lives. Stay with your instincts, your beading will reward with you with beautiful pieces like this!
I think it is interesting that this does ~not~ look crazy to me... the color combination and symmetry actually has a calming feeling to me. perhaps the amount of running in circles is actually desirable or ccomforting to you on some level? would you feel lost if you didn't have all these things to do?
When I read this, "I feel I should bead this same page for every month," I just chortled right out loud... a big gufffawwww... because I'm right there with you.
I'm so pleased you chose to do this for your journal page, rather than Halloween, because it IS journaling! Also because seeing it helps ME to look at the circles I'm running around in. Halloween is fun, true, but this seems more important somehow.
It's interesting to note that the circle is the symbol of completion... we are trying to complete everything... maybe we both need some spirals, which are more on-going and open-ended???

I forgot to mention that your beadwork technique looks VERY good! Bravo!

Well done, Kelly -- I think a lot of us can relate to those circles at the moment . . .

Super piece! I got a kick out of your description. Life does seem to get a little crazy at times.
How about describing your busy self as Woman of Many Obligations, Many Ideas, Many Aspirations?
And if you do get organized, please share the secret to it with the rest of us. :-)

Even though you are running in circles...they look like happy circles!
Teriffic idea. The symbolism is right on! We can call relate to running around in circles, thats for sure. Love it.
I'm agree with shebaduhkitty. My piece was similar.& I "need" to be busy and work better under pressure (just think Sept got a bit "too" hectic. :)
Lovely work Kelly
Stop judging yourself. Just accept that you are not organized than you dont have to fight it. It just is. I love your piece. The colors to me are very soothing. I see it as being very orderly. Take it easy on yourself. Julie C
My first post did not work and they were such wise words too. Stop judging yourself. Just accept your feeling unorganized and just know it. Then you dont have to fight it. Fighting causes such anxiety! Your peice is so soothing to me. The colors are light, airy...I see it as being very orderly. Julie C.
Love the colors and the symmetry of the circles! Looks pretty organized to me and happy, too!

Happy Birthday month! I hope you got a day to rest up! And wow! I love the theme for this month & understand wanting to continue with it! It would be interesting to see in different colors & types of beads! But I can't wait to see what you finally decide to journal next month!
Warmest aloha,

This is gorgeous. I love the colors. I'd say this is a very hopeful page. And if you want to make another circle page go ahead. I could see a whole years worth of running in circles variations!
OH MY GOSH! I totally forgot to thank everyone for their kind comments for this posting. I truly apologize to all for this huge oversight!
Thanks to all for the kind comments. I worked very long and hard on this one. Even through all the craziness. It did calm me, that's for sure. Part of the reason why I'm loving this.
